We had cabin 16. It is really nice for two couples. Lots of living space but seating for eating might be an issue for a larger group - for two couples it was fine. We wish it had a microwave.
I have been staying here since 1977 an we have always enjoyed ourselves because of the laid back atmosphere . We have stayed in many different cabins an have never had any problems. The families that have owned the place have always been hospitable an did what ever they could to make our stay enjoyable. My step father's families stay here since 1945. This is an old establishment but has many renewed cabins. We have always had a great time when we go.
A great affordable base for visiting Acadia.
I stayed in this hotel on a Saturday night in July, when almost every other hotel in the area were full. I stayed in cabin 5. The cottage design was nice. The bed was comfortable. But the room and bathroom were not clean. It is OK hotel for 1 night stay only.
A wonderful place me and my wife spent our honeymoon here. Fell in love with the place the first two nights. Staff is awesome and helpful. With a great atmosphere. we are definitely going to be back here next year for are anniversary. Hinckley's makes you feel like you are at home. Same time next year.
My family and I have been going here for many years now. We love it there and always enjoy the cabins we have stayed in. Great place to come relax and rest after a day of hiking! We plan to keep staying for years to come!
