On the way from the bridge to Mount Desert Island, the bridge stops at a small island with a small but decent visitor center. PLEASE STOP HERE! You'll appreciate your stop here, because you get everything here (map, restrooms, info), and you can get your pass into the park there instead of the long lines at Hulls Cove. There is no gift shop, but there is a National Park Passport stamp here that you can't get any other visitor center. This is a great stop to help plan your trip to Acadia.
