Excellent campground. Has all the amenities like running water, electric, bathrooms and showers that are all kept pretty clean for a campground. I camped here at a tent site and the cook stations they provide are super helpful...no need to bring your own fold-up table! Staff was friendly and they are very easy going. Only reason it doesn't get a 5 star is because the sites are all right next to each other so there's little privacy, but it doesn't ruin the experience very much.

One of the most beautiful spots to camp. We tent camped . Plan on coming back next year and would like to get the spot. Thumbs up

- she wouldn't sell ice cream before 11am. This isn't an ice cream machine, but just frozen bars and pints that are in the main store like everything else. No explanation. It was like 10:30am.

The site is overall a winner. Has great amenities to entertain kids, the bathrooms are amazingly clean, location to Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park is great. The sites themselves are smaller, but just plan ahead knowing that.

I would still go back to this campground because the rest of the staff was great and the amenities I mentioned above

- during a candy hunt for the kids (which was fun!) she told my cousin to get away from the box of candy because "she didn't trust her."

- when my cousin used the bathroom (each bathroom and a toilet, shower, sink) the lady told her to use the porta potty because people need those to shower. We specifically booked this site for clean bathrooms and then she's told NOT to use it?

It would be five stars if not for one employee that worked there. A taller short haired blond woman seemed to have it out for my 12 year old cousin. A partial list of things she said without provocation.

Staff is nice, sites are decent size for tent camping. Fire pits are nice and big and plenty of places just outside the campground to find cheaper wood. Bathrooms were not very well kept. They really should add a screen door to them so they aren't full of bees. Showers were in even worse shape. Of all the KOA I have been to, these were the worst. Nice location to get around Bar Harbor and Acadia. Only giving 2 starts because of restrooms and showers.

Great place. Good price. We stayed in cabin. Good combination of roof and camp area. Too bad we can not select camp site. A person at reception will make at his own choice. I would come there again.
