The Bar Harbor Campground is always our first choice when going to Bar Harbor Maine. It's a first-come-first-serve campground and we always like to be up by the water but if we can't we choose another site and then keep our eyes open for somebody leaving. It's a very clean Campground and the staff is very cordial. They only take cash or check like a lot of places in Maine. Amenities are it's very clean and quiet and has a heated pool along with a playground. There's also a restaurant and ice cream place that you can enter from the campground so it makes it very convenient. There is also a lobster place called Rose Eden that is the best lobster I've ever had and they will deliver to the campground also.
Very nice campground! Affordable at $44 a night for full hookup. Get a site closer to the ocean instead of near the office if you can - they are perfect. Nice people, quiet ... loved it! Close to Bar Harbor also. Free shuttle service is awesome, has bike rack too.
Love this campground! I love the fact that it's first come first serve, and that when you get there you get to actually choose your own campground. Staff was very nice. It's cash only, but they have an ATM. There's a pool and a playground with a view of the ocean and the mountains. Dog friendly. Very nice altogether!
Spent 5 nights here in a tent. Great location and facilities. Competitive rates (cash only). Shuttle bus stops here. Coin operated showers.
