My family has been staying at High Seas every summer for close to a decade now. I have nothing but positive things to say about it! The rooms are kept very clean and modern. The pool is absolutely lovely, both for swimming and lounging in the sun. The owners are extremely kind, not to mention accommodating! There is a reason why we return here year after year - highly recommended!
This place was a perfect fit for our vacationing needs! The room has a small flat screen TV, a fridge, and a nice shower. We slept comfortably throughout our stay and the room was clean. Rich was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us recommendations for food and places to go in the national park. He also gave us helpful tips and advice to navigate the park! I would recommend this motel to all my family and friends!
A great motel to stay at. Rooms are huge and comfortable. The owners and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their part of heaven. It's location is perfectly placed between Ellsworth & Bar Harbor. Learn the back roads and traveling is even easier. Can't forget the Heated Pool, great coffee and you can't beat the price.
Basic motel. The room was clean. Small fridge in room was noisy. There was no "don't disturb sign" to hang on the door. Small packages shampoo/conditioner in bathroom. Hair dryer. Non-removable hangers with closet space. Having free WiFi was nice, but my Chromecast didn't work. On check out day we wanted to leave early, but office opened only at 8 am. If we knew, we would have checked out the night before...
We really enjoyed our stay here. Our room was clean and a good size. The mini-fridge had a freezer that kept our ice packs frozen. The pool was heated and well taken care of. There's coffee and tea in the morning in a spacious room with tables and chairs. We ate many of our meals in there and played card games in the evenings. There are a few spots to sit and eat outside around the property. There's a playset for kids. It's a short 10 minute walk to the nearest shuttle - which takes you to Acadia National Park or Bar Harbor. We liked that it was a shirt distance from downtown Bar Harbor, away from the throngs of tourists. We highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Bar Harbor.
