Excellent. Gracious and knowledgeable owners. Delicious and unique breakfast prepared by an experienced cook. Presentation makes the whole experience wonderful. Views are spectacular and town is close within minutes. Local cuisine is plentiful and good. Need a place to relax and feel special...this is the place.
We stayed in the summer cottage while visiting Acadia National park. The cottage had fantastic views of the water and access to a private beach (during low tide, of course). The breakfasts were simple, but tasty. The property was peaceful and made a great home base for exploring the area. But for the price tag, the cottage could definitely use some upgrades. The TV was so old it had a VCR, the furniture was drab, the decor was more shabby than chic, and the doors and windows stuck.
Such a lovely inn, perched on a cliff with stunning views out over the bay! The inn owners could not have been better. Not only were our breakfasts superb, they went way above and beyond to help us find activities, accomplish our work, and even get to our activities! Lovely people and a lovely inn, we so hope we will get the chance to stay there again someday!!
We were planning to visit the Inn At Bay Ledge recently but had an emergency situation and were not able to go. Jeanne Was so kind to give us a refund. We will DEFINITELY make it a point to get there in the fall. Can't wait!!
I had a wonderful time staying at the Inn at Bay Ledge. Jack and Jean were terrific hosts. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and spotless, as well as quiet. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the rocky beach beneath the nearby cliffs and the afternoon snacks and breakfast were wonderful too. It's a short drive (~10 minutes) to downtown Bar Harbor and only ~20 minutes to Cadillac Mountain and other parts of Acadia. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay!
